United Way is a convener that encourages organizations and people to work together to tackle some of our community’s toughest education, prosperity, and health challenges, discovering locally-based solutions that work.
The Angel Fund
The Angel Fund helps Helena public school children in need with school clothes, winter outerwear, shoes, school supplies, classroom materials and field trip fees so they arrive at school ready to learn each fall. Angel Fund also awards Montana post-secondary scholarships to deserving seniors at Capital High, Helena High and Pupils in Alternative Learning based on financial need, academic success and a commitment to give back to their community.

Youth Homes was founded in 1971 to help youth that are troubled by abuse, neglect, illegal substance abuse, school failure, family conflict, family violence, and emotional/mental disturbance, and more. In Helena, Youth Homes operates the Margaret Stuart Boys and Girls Home as well as the Jan Shaw Home for Girls.
The YWCA of Helena is to prevent homelessness, provide supportive transitional housing for homeless women and their children, and provide services that restore hope and self-sufficiency.
