Any person in any community can dial 2-1-1 on a phone to connect with an operator who can help direct them to organizations and programs they need to overcome difficulties in their lives. This service is also available by visiting Montana 2-1-1 online to search the service if they have internet access.

The United Way team is working to give 2-1-1 an overhaul to make it the most thorough resource guide for our community.
Our team has requested information updates from nearly 250 local organizations as part of the overhaul. This project is part of the Mayor’s Challenge, which Helena’s Mayor, Wilmot Collins, participated in with collaboration from Mayor Bill Cole of Billings.

The Mayor’s Challenge is a nation-wide effort to provide support to veterans and their families to reduce and prevent veteran suicide. The collaboration between the leadership of efforts in Billings and Helena helps 2-1-1 operators be trained to assist veterans and military families in addition to others who need to connect with programs and services.

We look forward to completing the updates to 2-1-1 in the coming months and supporting Montanans – especially our veterans and their families! If you have questions, please call our team at (406) 442-4360 or visit www.montana211.org.
