Sarah Yergeau, United Way Worldwide’s Director of Digital Advocacy, accompanies Brittany Rooze, Interim Director of United Way of the Lewis and Clark Area, to Senator Daines’ office.

United Way Worldwide invited Brittany Rooze, Interim President and CEO, to join their team for a day of advocacy in Washington, D.C. They covered her expenses, provided training and information, and set up meetings in which Brittany was able to meet with Montana’s congressional delegation and their staff.

This day of advocacy focused on securing permanent funding for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program, expanding the Child Tax Credit, and implementing a universal charitable giving tax credit. These programs are good for Montanans and provide more opportunities for financial stability. We are proud to advocate for families and create meaningful change!

We are thankful for the opportunity to meet with Senator Daines, Senator Tester, and Representative Gianforte (as well as their amazing staff), and we look forward to advocating for Montana’s families again.
